About Cornelia
Strategy Expert Cornelia Shipley got an early start to her career. At 18, before ever setting foot on the campus of The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Cornelia began a sales career at Procter and Gamble Distributing Company. Over the course of the next 15 years Cornelia would go on to receive her BA in Communication from Michigan, have a career of note at P&G, receive her MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and Melbourne Business School in Melbourne Victoria Australia, and go on to work for both Raytheon Company and General Mills. In 2009 Cornelia received the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Credential from the International Coach Federation and in 2012 became a Board Certified Coach (BCC) as well.
Then it happened, the course of events that caused Cornelia to realize she needed to live a more flexible lifestyle where her life and work were fully integrated. In the span of less than 18 months, both of her parents experienced life threatening illnesses while she got promoted to the “right” job in the “right” location living almost 1,600 miles away. Cornelia woke up one morning asking herself a question many of us ask at some point in our lives “How did I get here?”. After much soul searching and negotiation, she left the corporate world, to live her definition of success and create a life that would allow her the flexibility necessary to care for her family and continue to make a significant difference in the lives of others.
In 2006, Cornelia founded 3C Consulting LLC, a Human Capital Management Firm specializing in Executive Coaching and Strategic Planning. With the desire to make a significant difference in the lives of others, she expanded the scope of her work to help entrepreneurs and individuals leverage strategic planning principles to create their designed outcomes. She reaches thousands of professionals each year through her workshops, coaching, consulting, CD’s and speaking engagements. In addition, Cornelia is consistently called upon by organization leaders to facilitate their strategic planning sessions at a corporate and divisional level.
Often asked by clients and colleagues how she lives her desires by design, in 2012 she launched the By Design Club, a program designed to deliver a comprehensive, holistic approach to strategic planning for your life and work. The club provides several tiers of coaching and mentoring for those who are ready to develop their life design in both a group and one-on-one setting. In addition to these strategic planning opportunities, Cornelia continues her work enhancing the leadership capability of executives and entrepreneurs.
